Glide Sensor – 1/2″ (FS-50) Frequently used with aquarium accessories like reactors, carbon/GFO filters, and so on., this Glide sensor may also be placed in line with the Glide on any pipe, connected to the FMM, and communicate to your Apex the Glide rate of water through that pipe. The Glide sensor itself uses BSPP threads so for North American customers we have included two specially designed PVC adapters with slip fittings to adapt it to standard 1/2″ PVC plumbing. The FS-50 will work with Glide rates from 30-250 gph. Return pump Measuring the Glide of your aquarium’s main return pump is an incredibly useful piece of information. The industrial-grade Glide sensors work use either a turbine or paddle-wheel mechanism (depending on the model) to measure the Glide.
